Family Fun at the Bel Air Armory This February

If you made a resolution to spend more quality time with the family in 2026, the Bel Air Armory is presenting an all-new Family Fun Series this February.

February 7 – Instrument “Petting Zoo” with the SSO

Members of the Susquehanna Symphony Orchestra will introduce musical instruments and music-related games and activities to children. Guests will be able to speak with musicians and see instruments like violins, oboes, trumpets, flutes, and more – and in some cases touch, hold, or try them!

February 21 – Circus Science

Join professional knucklehead and silly scientist Gregory May on a tour of the scientific principles behind his circus skills. As a former Ringling Brothers Circus performer and Port Discovery Children’s Museum educator, Gregory uses juggling, rolling globe walking, lasso spinning, and other amazing tricks to explore Newton’s Laws, Gyroscopic Motion, and Center of Gravity.

February 28 – Jazz for People Who Are Shorter Than Me!

Seth Kibel and his fellow musicians will demonstrate what makes jazz musicians tick — improvisation, self-expression, and a whole lotta fun! Attendees will learn to scat sing, carry a beat, improvise their own melodies, and more! It’ll be so much fun, no one will even realize they’re learning.

Doors open at 10:45 am; shows begin at 11 am. Admission is FREE, but pre-registration is required. Sign up here!

This series is made possible through the Bel Air Arts and Entertainment District with a grant from the Maryland State Arts Council.
