DESCRIPTION:The Liriodendron has the honor of featuring a retrospective of the works of Harford County Living Treasure Joan Henderson Hodous in celebration of her 90th birthday! This lifelong Harford County resident\, teacher\, artist\, activist\, poet\, philanthropist\, and visionary has developed a substantial body of work over more than 75 years inspired by her vibrant life of travel\, the outdoors\, love\, and loss. Many of these works will be on display at the Liriodendron from April 30 through June 4. \nThe official opening of the exhibition will be on Mother’s Day – Sunday\, May 11 from 11 am to 3 pm – but will be on view each Wednesday from 1 to 5 pm from April 30 through June 4. This format combines cardiovascular exercise\, agility and memory retention. One new routine will be taught step by step in each class. No dance experience needed. Wear tennis shoes. \nThis registration includes 4-weeks of class (May 7\, 14\, 21\, 28\, 2025)–class is 6:30-7:30pm (doors open 6:10pm). Purchase one ticket (listed under the May 7th date) and you will be registered for all 4 weeks. The 4-week May pass is $40 and is a great deal at just about $10 per class! Must register online in advance. Sales will close once all spots have been claimed. \nTaught by the ONLY Certified Fly Dance Instructor in Maryland\, Tina is a wife\, mom\, Senior Associate of Finance/Owner of her family owned business. Tina’s passion for instructing group fitness began in 2011. Tina has always loved motivating her participants to challenge themselves\, step out of their comfort zones\, and just have FUN!! DESCRIPTION:The Last Raid\, Author Event & Book Signing with Tom Guercio and Diana Guercio Prentice\n\nMay 27 @ 12:30 pm\nFree \n\n\n\nStep back to the Bel Air of the 1930s and 1940s with authors Thomas Guercio and Diana Guercio Prentice. Learn about the days of the Bel Air Race Track\, the “Graw\,” boxing at the Armory\, poker at the Argonne\, and gambling at “The Hole.” These good old days included bookmaking\, moonshine\, and so much more. \nGuercio’s story is told through the reminiscences of George Van Bibber\, a friend of the authors’ father. Sam Guercio\, an Italian immigrant\, settled in Bel Air in 1932. Several of his family members were already residents and local business owners. If you are of a certain age\, you may remember visiting Sam’s Barbershop\, the family’s Shoe Repair shop on Burns Alley\, Guercio’s Grocery Store\, or perhaps Sam & Gorrell’s bookmaking parlor in Fallston. This promises to be a fascinating story. The event is free. Registration is encouraged. Books will be available for purchase.

DESCRIPTION:The Liriodendron has the honor of featuring a retrospective of the works of Harford County Living Treasure Joan Henderson Hodous in celebration of her 90th birthday! This lifelong Harford County resident\, teacher\, artist\, activist\, poet\, philanthropist\, and visionary has developed a substantial body of work over more than 75 years inspired by her vibrant life of travel\, the outdoors\, love\, and loss. Many of these works will be on display at the Liriodendron from April 30 through June 4. \nThe official opening of the exhibition will be on Mother’s Day – Sunday\, May 11 from 11 am to 3 pm – but will be on view each Wednesday from 1 to 5 pm from April 30 through June 4. DESCRIPTION:Fly Dance Fitness® is a down right booty shakin’ dance fitness workout! Each class incorporates fun\, funky\, easy to follow repetitive choreographed moves. This format combines cardiovascular exercise\, agility and memory retention. One new routine will be taught step by step in each class. No dance experience needed. Wear tennis shoes. \nThis registration includes 4-weeks of class (May 7\, 14\, 21\, 28\, 2025)–class is 6:30-7:30pm (doors open 6:10pm). Purchase one ticket (listed under the May 7th date) and you will be registered for all 4 weeks. The 4-week May pass is $40 and is a great deal at just about $10 per class! Must register online in advance. Sales will close once all spots have been claimed. \nTaught by the ONLY Certified Fly Dance Instructor in Maryland\, Tina is a wife\, mom\, Senior Associate of Finance/Owner of her family owned business. Tina’s passion for instructing group fitness began in 2011. Tina has always loved motivating her participants to challenge themselves\, step out of their comfort zones\, and just have FUN!! Tina has excelled her fitness training with running Spartan Races. Wear tennis shoes.\nThis registration includes 4-weeks of class (June 4\, 11\, 18\, 25\, 2025)–class is 6:30-7:30pm (doors open 6:10pm). Purchase one ticket (listed under the June 4th date) and you will be registered for all 4 weeks. The 4-week June pass is $40 and is a great deal at just about $10 per class! Must register online in advance of 6/4 at 2PM\, when sales will close\, or once sold out.\nTaught by the ONLY Certified Fly Dance Instructor in Maryland\, Tina is a wife\, mom\, Senior Associate of Finance/Owner of her family-owned business. Tina’s passion for instructing group fitness began in 2011. Tina has always loved motivating her participants to challenge themselves\, step out of their comfort zones\, and just have FUN!! Tina has excelled her fitness training with running Spartan Races. She is currently certified in Fly Dance Fitness\, Les Mills BodyPump\, BodyJam\, and Barre Intensity.
