DESCRIPTION:The program will feature bright and cheerful music including the final movement from Beethoven’s 9th Symphony\, a timeless choral favorite\, Handel’s Ode to St. Cecilia\, and Bach’s Jesus bleibet meine Freude. The women of the chorus will sing O Virtus Sapientiae\, composed by Hildegard von Bingen\, a German Benedictine abbess\, the full chorus will perform pieces by Thomas Weekles and Benjamin Britten and will premier an original composition entitled Burst into Joyful Song by Richard Maltz\, a HCS singer. Families and friends gather at for a day filled with fun activities  starting at 6:45am with a flag raising and leading right into a pancake breakfast. DESCRIPTION:Audience favorite Josh Christina returns to the Music at the Mansion stage to help throw a 125th Birthday Party for the Liriodendron! \nThink of a mix between Jerry Lee Lewis\, Elvis Presley and Elton John and you’ve got Josh Christina. If you’re a fan of piano driven rock n’ roll\, Josh Christina will restore your confidence in the ability of young musicians to carry on the great tradition of rock’s pioneers. Josh writes his own music\, refurbishes the classics\, and plays a mean piano.  His live show – a mix of everything from Jerry Lee Lewis to Elton John with some originals woven in – appeals to all generations. Josh Christina is a rock n roll revivalist whose music provides a bridge across generational lines by going backward to move into the future. \nThe concert will be held outdoors. Chairs are not provided\, so bring a picnic blanket or lawn chairs. If you have limited mobility\, please contact the Liriodendron to arrange for special seating. \nFood and beverages will be available for purchase from local food trucks. \nThe concert begins at 5 pm\, but birthday festivities will take place throughout the day. \nTickets are $15 for adults.
